If a woman gets into sports journalism she accepts that she will see a dong and potatoes doing her job
It's not like the athlete is slapping her with it but its there. Seen one you've pretty much seen them all, except for Alonzo Mourning

No, because those who spout off about equality do not want equality, they want special treatment. It's exactly the same as women wanting men and women to pay the same rates on medical insurance and yet still justify men paying higher auto insurance. When an interest group talks about equality, expect hypocrisy.
Well said

Three knocks and a yell of "Coming in"
I talked to a women's basketball coach about this once. It is very similar to three knocks and a yell. He does his post game interview, says hello to his family, then heads to the locker room once he feels like the players have had enough time to get dressed. The hallway leading up to the locker room has a 180% bend, so he can holler and make his presence known without seeing anything.

Every reporter in the world was scared
Fricking tripod. One dude told me once it was bigger than his own arm. A well know TV guy in fact

Lucky dude. Some people really do live the good life.

I don't understand why the media needs to be in the locker in the first place
I know if I were an athlete I wouldn't want cameras and microphones shoved in my face while I'm trying to take a shower and change after a game

Bc they want unfettered access to all the players. It helps them write their articles, well the lazy ones at least.
The leagues, who see the benefit of people writing about their sport allow them to have the access.
Hell I bet more than a few players like it as well. Anything to get their names out more.

I kind of side with the crab masturbator. He was probably practicing silent visual protest.

Much depends on the sport and athlete
Football is a madhouse. Some athletes will ask for time to put some drawers on and it was always a respected request
Basketball the home team has a more private shower so they usually have drawers or shorts on. Road team is a closet. A player with the initials AI walked out the shower once yelling "all you white MF'ers need to stop looking at my dick" woody Paige ripped him a new one right there. That was rather funny.
Hockey the guys will stay dressed most times in their skivvies then shower
Baseball players do not give one frick and seem to like being naked, not all but a majority
And I think I've derailed this thread enough

It seems the easiest solution would just cut out access to locker rooms. I'm sure the players would appreciate it.
Personally I think this is what should happen.
Members of the media will often claim the players need to act like professionals but then turn around and insist they should be allowed to sit in the locker rooms and watch the players change.

Steve Sax would put a sock on his cock & would wave it at female reporters, yelling sock it to me. If the reporter would ask him to stop he would take the sock off and just stand there smiling.

This sounds like by far the worst ESPN documentary ever.

I've heard that story
I remember seeing a picture one time of a baseball player with his pants halfway down and the female reporters eyes clearly focused on the crotch area
Again I've never heard a athlete complain about females in the locker room nor have I EVER heard one of my fellow male reporters WANTING to go in the female locker room
Edit: IMO this is just typical ESPN trying to create shite garbage

Both male and female reporters have access to both male and female locker rooms during a designated time.
The rules are the same regardless of whether it is the NBA or WNBA.

It's really sad that this thread both exists and is more than a couple posts long.

If I was a professional athlete I'd do my interviews naked wearing a deadmau5 mask. That's what's up.

I wonder what impact it has had on Dale Murphy & Jack Morris HOF chances.
