Much better QB. Also not mentally disabled: Franks punted the ball into the stands after nearly costing his team the Miami game

“Once a Gator, always a Gator”...

Until I bail for another school because I’ve lost my starting position here.

Josh Booty was a sub .500 starter that completed about 50% of his passes and was drafted in the 6th round. Franks' career numbers, record and talent dwarf Booty's (plus he'd be like 4 years younger). If he has a solid combine and pro day, he'll get selected..

Franks is horrible. What P5 school would take him, much less the NFL?

He's not that bad. The guy was responsible for 31 TD's last year and led UF to a 10 win season. I'm sure there are some P5 schools that could use that kind of production.

I'm not arguing that Franks should be our QB...

Five months later after no NFL team drafts him or signs him: "I have decided to pursue a career in professional baseball."

Imagine if he didn’t sell LSU out he’d have been Joe Brady’s QB this year.

14-10 team record in games he played
59.5%, 5380yds (750 att), 7.2ypp, 38tds, 16ints, 132.2rate
projected 4th round pick

Franks
22 years old (in a month), 6'6, 240
17-10 team record in games he played
59%, 4593yds (622 att), 7.4ypp, 38tds, 17ints, 135.7rate

So, what's the difference?

You people are so stupid that think college production equates to the draft or NFL production. If it did all those Hawaii qbs would be winning SBs

They both played in the SEC vs similar competition and now Eason plays in a weaker conference against worst foes. So he should be putting up huge numbers.

Are you saying production and success doesn't matter at all?

How did Burrow get such a huge boost? How else do you evaluate a college player? Talent alone?

Being a slave to measurables is what got so many GMs screwed at the QB position, among others. “He must be a good QB—he is the same size as Can Newton and Ben Roethlisberger” syndrome.

This guy has a major injury and has publicly taken his ball and gone home twice now. That’s who you want to be your team’s leader and face of your franchise?

Well, he is running the Saints offense better than Drew Brees right now. He’s not running that Baker Mayfield bullshite at Oklahoma that doesn’t work yet in the NFL.

Yeah measurables have really hurt Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.

I based it off measurables, production, skill, experience, age and talent.

Why is it cool for Eason to run home to Washington after he lost his job. But it's wrong for Franks to look for a better situation?

4th round projection means he’s lower than Garrett Grayson and Christian Hackenburg. It’s not that great.
