Yep, no respect. Even in our statewide run paper this morning, UCA winning yesterday was found all the way back on page 9 this morning in the sports section.
You would think winning your conference with a 9-0 record and being ranked #3 in the country would warrant more attention from your local news rag.

I’d hope that with LSU not playing, and Nicholls hosting for the first time in history that they would draw more than that.

Yeah, neither is common sense. As much as they bitch about LSU fans, some of them are as ignorant and entitled as a lot of LSU fans. God forbid you have an opinion that differs from any of them, especially if you are a "younger fan".
Those clowns will never accept that our resume wasn't very good, regardless of how much they want to cling to "conference strength", SOS, and our 9-2 record.
Oh, and that's the other funny thing. Those clowns that kept saying how our Conference was 6th and that alone should get us in are now the same people saying they want out of the SLC. Stupid.

I remember plenty of home and homes with Northern Iowa, App St, Montana, Cal Poly, etc
The Nicholls game is what screwed them. They dominated that game and ended up with a L. Then they had a chance to prove themselves and shite the bed in Arkansas.
At the end of the day we had our shot and blew it. We need to schedule better non conference and quit playing d2 schools.

Mathew Bonnette is really playing up the "we got screwed angle" with his latest press release.
Despite Finishing 9-2, McNeese left out of Playoffs
The whole "you can only play the schedule you have" argument is getting overplayed as well. Yeah, you're right. But you lost to the only 2 teams with a pulse on the schedule. That's along the same lines as the "we had the #1 rush defense" argument. Yeah, and you were #60 in pass yards allowed. And you played a schedule with 6 teams with 4 wins or less, amd 4 teams with 2 wins or less.
Proud of the 9-2 record after 6-5 last year, but ashamed of our fans for being so ignorant to the facts.

Also that D they’re touting was way too susceptible to the big play. Couldn’t get off the field on 3rd downs. (Read that we were first in this category, but I don’t see how.)

Yep, and they want to blame the AD for that loss. Maybe I missed something, but I don't remember the AD being on the field. I DO remember our guys scoring with just over 3 minutes to go to take a 35-34 lead, only to allow Nicholls to drive for nearly 3 minutes to kick a FG and win the game. I DO remember us giving up 2 ABSOLUTELY STUPID 60+ yard TDs.
Our "fans" just don't want to accept that we didn't take care of business in the games that ultimately mattered most.
Great season, something to build on. Let them have a chip on their shoulder if that's what this is all about. Maybe we win 10 or 11 next year, get into the playoffs, AND ACTUALLY WIN A GAME OR TWO!!

Lol! Yeah. Best part is them saying we need to start swinging our "male parts" around to get what we want in the SLC, or leave.
Ok? So you can go to a conference that you have no history with and bring little to nothing to? We haven't done anything in football of relevance in 15 years. Let's not even bring baseball and basketball into this. What conference are we going to move to that would even be feasible. The Southern? Ohio Valley?

Leaving the Southland Conference is obviously not an option, but we should stand up for ourselves more.
It wasn’t the ADs fault we lost at Nicholls, but it was still a poor scheduling decision to play a road conference game as the season opener. I said then that loss would haunt us, and I was correct.
