Wasn't Madden, but Joe Montana sportstalk football on Sega Genesis you could run a QB naked boot with any relatively mobile QB (eg. John elway) and score everytime from anywhere on the field.

Most fun I ever had and my best results were on Madden 09 with the Patriots. I’d just outscore everyone.

Brady had 99 throw accuracy and 99 throw power.

Moss had 98 speed, 99 spectacular catch, and 100 jumping.

Welker had 93 speed ( ), 99 acceleration, 96 agility, and crazy high catch in traffic and route running.

Benjamin Watson was an 87 OVR but played like a 95 OVR.

The OL had pass blocking ratings of 96, 96, 95, 94, 90 so I was hardly ever pressured.

We use to have Madden tournaments in the barracks back in my Navy days with Madden 94. I use to play with 69 Jets with Joe Namath. They had a receiver whose name I don't remember who was mostly unstoppable although there was one kid in the barracks who played with the Bears and could whoop anyone.

#13 Don Maynard was the receiver

Early 2000s Vikings. Culpepper to Moss was a serious combo.

Madden 2007 with the Colts. Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dominic Rhodes, Joseph Addai. My passing offense was unstoppable against all of my friends.

Is that when they had the QB vision? Peyton had the entire field lit up. Mfr could not make an inaccurate pass.

Playing against someone using Vick in Madden 04 must’ve been what older folks felt like playing Techmo Bowl against someone using Bo Jackson lol

You know our demo was right in the wheelhouse for both of those games right?

To me it will always be Madden 02 with the expansion draft.

I'd just sim the first season with a random team, then choose to take over the expansion team (always created one vs using the Texans) and do the draft and start building the team from scratch.

Mike Vick was GOATed in those early 2000’s madden games. Scrambling on 4 verticals was unstoppable

This is the correct answer. Picking the Falcons back then was an absolute cheat code.

If I wasn't running Vick I'd then blow by defenses using Warrick Dunn on wheel routes. Vick also had the highest arm strength too so I could just bomb 4 verticals

already been mentioned several times, but the 04 Falcons...

Backfield:
Vick
Dunn
TJ Duckett

Receivers:
Peerless Price (was like a 97 speed and acceleration guy)
Finneran (high 80s/low 90s jump rating)
Alge Crumpler from the TE spot had good receiving stats

Unstoppable offense.

Defense had Patrick Kerney, Keith Brooking, and Ray Buchanan as well which were good rated defenders, and Allen Rossum returning kicks.

Back on Madden 95 or 97, you could take the Lions, line up in the split back pro set formation, and run off-tackle with Emmitt or Barry Sanders and take it to the house every time. I loved playing with the Lions back in that generation of Madden. You had Scott Mitchell at QB who was fine in the game, but you had Barry along with Perriman, Moore, and Morton at receiver. Unstoppable.
