t's unfortunate for the one player, but I don't understand just ending the game. Because they were reminded someone could get hurt? frick man, we need to cancel the rest of the season then. Just cancel the entire sport.

Is this a joke? Calling grown men making hundreds of thousands of dollars, some millions of dollars, kids? What kind if shite is that? Dude, if you’re old as hell, it doesn’t mean everybody younger than you is a “kid”. This is silly

Seems like the players demonstrating to everyone watching that they perceive these preseason games as not having much value, especially when these types of injuries take place.

At a jobsite, its an OSHA rule to shut the place down for the day when a serious injury occurs. Multiple studies have shown that a serious accident is more likely to occur if work continues after seeing something like that.
The way that guy was seizing pretty bad. Looked like decerebrate posturing which is usually a sign of a pretty bad head injury.
For preseason, or even regular season, this is the right move. Something like that is scary to see up close and personal.

You need to calm down

I don't gamble on preseason
This is a slippery slope. We have already seen 1 season get completely tainted. Now the NFL is setting the table for it to continuously to happen anytime anyone gets injured.
NFL needs to put their foot down. A couple more poor decisions like this and the NFL turns into the NBA (players running the league).
You can make the argument that they were better off extending the game by a quarter than shortening it by a quarter. Let the players play it out of their system. More reps. More game film. More future earnings opportunities. Turn the situation into a good one.

Vegas called that in. Over was going to hit.
Surely in that situation all bets would be cancelled, wouldn't they?
