With a win Sunday, the Falcons could push the Panthers to a Wild Card spot while solidifying home field for the Saints. However, there's draft position to consider, which according to ESPN the Falcons are sitting at the #6 spot through Week 16 with a QB desperate teams like Houston, Cleveland, and Jacksonville sitting in front of them there's a possibility of a good pick falling into their lap

So Dirty Birds, which are you hoping for on Sunday? A win or a loss?

A chance to get a higher pick AND help keep the Saints from winning the division. What do you honestly think they want?

And a Saints loss.

But seriously, I would still prefer to see us win. We could use help at so many positions that it really doesn't matter where we draft. I'd actually prefer us to trade down regardless. Plus, enough teams in front of us will be so stuck on QBs and Clowney that we should get value wherever we choose. So...WIN.

This is probably true. I think the Falcons try to rally and win this last game for the fans and Tony G.

This is what concerns me is that the Falcons come out on some emotional, last stand kick that the Panthers aren't able to overcome. However, you have to wonder how much fight does Atlanta have left in them

Falcons didn't seem too much about tanking for a playoff spot against the 49ers on the road, so I seriously doubt they'll tank it at home in front of their fans.

Beating a playoff team despite everything they've been through this season between injuries, tough losses, etc would be huge for Atlanta and their fans.

Furthermore, I don't think teams really "tank" division games unless they've locked in their playoff seed.

They definitely have a chance. This game worries me. With the pressure of securing home field and that 1st round bye, it wouldn't surprise me if they did upset Carolina. I don't think they will because I think our defense will dominate their pathetic O-Line but, we shall see.

I want them to secure the draft position but I'm probably in the minority.

if i were a falcons fan, it's be draft position first, and then the cherry on top would be a nice little to the saints.

then again, this is coming from a texans fan whos been downright giddy with the texans season. whack kubiak? check. finally get rid of schuab? check. prove we have no viable QB on the roster? check. put yourself in position to upgrade the QB position via the draft? check.

its been christmas for me since september!!!

I would like to believe no player or coach decides to tank at any point during the season but as fans we have our own hopes and expectations.

Understandable, but you are not going to move up more than 1 or 2 picks with a win. ATL will likely pick from 4th-8th basically. Other than Matthews and Clowney, you'll have plenty of talent to choose from from 6 on down.

3 teams in the top 5 likely take a QB (Houston, Jacksonville, and Oakland) and possibly even Cleveland. That's 4 of the 5 teams currently in front of the Falcons. Heck, even the Rams (with Washington's pick) may take a QB. So there is a good chances of getting a very good pick.

How far down do they drop with a win? One spot? Five?

BTW, some of those players are playing for their jobs. Tanking for a higher draft position my help their team draft their replacement...

1. Houston Texans 2-13
2. St. Louis Rams** 7-8
3. Jacksonville Jaguars 4-11
4. Oakland Raiders 4-11
5. Cleveland Browns 4-11

These are the teams ahead of Atlanta according to ESPN and outside of the Redskins vs Giants, which is probably a Pick'em at best, I dont see any of those teams winning this weekend so it a win/lose may not make that much of a difference at this point

I wouldn't be disappointed with a close loss.

They had a choice a couple weeks ago against the Redskins.
