Miles thought that giving bama the JJ option package that they had struggled to defend in November would hoodwink everyone. He was also terrified of Lee throwing over the middle and getting pressured.

Should have unleashed Mett FTW

2019 was karmic correction for 2011.

The change in trajectory if Oklahoma State wins that game and gets stomped by LSU in the Superdome is pretty massive.

LSU goes into 2012 without the mental weight of the embarrassing loss and beats Alabama at home in 2012. Les is 4-2 against Saban and LSU doesn't sit in the cuck chair for 8 years.

Without that embarrassing loss to Bama, we go into the next season with a national championship against Ok St

The Les Miles offense would have gotten worse if we had won that game, hardheaded Les would have become even more hardheaded.

and we have a reasonable chance of beating Bama

We already had that in 2012, it had faded by the end of 2015

Didn’t even fully unleash Mett until halftime of the 2012 bama game. We beat aggy 2 weeks earlier with the most junior high offense ever

Watched the Saban documentary. Saban’s uncle leaked that Nick, normally cool and collected and not worried about other teams, lost his shite when Iowa state pulled that upset on a Friday night. Jumped all up and down on his couch

wish someone would write a tell all book about the end of the 2011 season. Lee had demons but he should have gotten a chance in the title game.

There’s nothing to tell. LSU fans are so weird about that title game and this big locker room conspiracy. Bama was an absolute unit that year and LSU was lucky to get out of Tuscaloosa with a win if we’re being honest. Jefferson coming in and running the option was a big part of that win bc bama wasn’t ready for it. Well now Nick has a month to be ready for it and you see what happens when Nick has that much time to prepare for a sub par offense that relies on the run game. I’m sure some players wanted Lee to start and that where you get the locker room conspiracy. Fact is Bama was in another stratosphere that night and we weren’t scoring on that D with either qb. It should have been worse if it wasn’t for how damn good our own D was.

He had bama beat the very next season until they choked it away in the final minute

And in 2014!

2019 lsu never happens if okie st wins that game

Why should I care? Seriously, trade one undefeated season with multiple top 10 wins, beating several conference champions and a NC for another.

We maybe don’t get a Heisman and bunch of flashy stats, whatever.

2011 was incredible until the rematch.
