ESPN could lay off hundreds of employees in the coming weeks, sources told Front Office Sports.
One source pegged the potential number of job losses between 300 and 700 employees. Another estimated 400 possible lost jobs.
The cuts are expected to hit hardest among ESPN employees who work behind the camera. But some on-camera TV and radio talents could be impacted — particularly if their contracts are expiring this year.

I love how all of these outlets will now report these layoffs like their some kind of breaking news when Clay Travis announced it like 4 days ago.
Next, SI, Yahoo, Bleacher Report, etc. will have one of their "reporters" announce it like its some kind of explosive story over the weekend.

Could not feel any less remorse after how pandering these idiots have been.

This is what I don't get, why not just be neutral. What business ever succeeds by shitting on half their customers? They should be firing whoever led them down this dead end road to begin with.

What they have done would be like a restaurant selecting half its customers and going up to each and spitting in their food right in front of them, then telling the customers that to complain makes them bad people, and then saying "Y'all come back now, ya hear."

Just like the old lawyer joke, 700 is just a good start.

Whats really sad is I used to love sportscenter and baseball tonight, in fact pre-unhinged Olbermann was my favorite, its just strange that politics just made them all go nuts.
Its the prime example of how progressives consider themselves to be morally superior and if you disagree with them you are immoral and worthy of scorn and derision.

This isn't hurting the executives and upper level positions. They are still making their profit margins. That's why they are letting go lower level roles. Ultimately, it's the little guy who's going to suffer.
