This sure is a big melt thread about a channel everyone claims not to watch

Some keep trying to make this comment, but the point behind the disgust is that many of us used to watch ESPN religiously. Now, not so much.

I only really see the commercials on in bars and restauraunts and just in those snippets I couldn't say GN is wrong. It's obvious what demo ESPN has completely gone in for.

Also, you guys need to realize Michael and Jamele will be there for the foreseeable future. They just got contract extensions in January and Skipper along with the higher ups are committed to The 6, whether we like it or not

They aren't let go, they are reducing their role...whatever that means.

It's almost as if ESPN has struggled now that they don't show as many highlights..

white folk are cutting the cord with cable, guessing that isn't happening nearly as frequently among cultural folk.

I work in TV and it's true that blacks are far more likely to have cable these days and not cut the cord. It's whites who are doing the cord cutting

I would assume not having a radio show anymore. But this hasn't been confirmed. We'll see.

But it's so much fun to make the same lame joke several times in any thread about ESPN.

No need to worry about the fact that their viewership is down (for many reasons, but the reason are irrelevant). Almost no one is cutting the cord and watching sports center or the debate shows.

Other ESPN personalities are seeing their roles "significantly reduced," a person with knowledge of the situation told The Hollywood Reporter. They include Baseball Tonight's Karl Ravitch, ESPN Radio's Ryen Russillo and Hannah Storm, who has been a mainstay at ESPN for a decade and hosted various iterations of flagship SportsCenter,

Hopefully Russillo stays on radio, but no longer get the NBA TV spots hes been on lately

The only time I catch any of SC6 is the gym and its just so bad. The idea behind it may not be all that bad but the hosts are so God awful and uninteresting that I can't see how anyone wants to check in and see their opinion on things daily.

Michael Smith is such a massive tool.
