Sorry if already posted but how ironic Danny Kanell was the only one on Twitter not praising ESPN?
Everyone else praised ESPN. But maybe he spoke his truth and said no thanks to the bonus about kind words only out the door? Kudos if so

Poured my heart and soul into ESPN for last 8 years. Moved my wife and 3 kids to CT to go "all in" 5 years ago. Bummed it ended in 3 minutes
Yeah I noticed that as well. He seems like the only one who was not all that positive about his firing.

Look at that list. Overwhelming Majority are male white heterosexuals. Tells you a lot about ESPN, ABC and Disney.
Jay Crawford and Trent Dilfer. Says a lot about the quality that was kept.

Think about it.... Where do you think he could end up??? He is horrible and hates any conference other than the ACC........... He is NOT that talented in the 1st place.... He is PISSED cause he moved his family to CT.. And now has ZERO income and A bleak future... This is all about EGO.. He thinks he is way better than he actually is..........

He was no doubt blindsided being that he's been doing shows up until yesterday. I also have to imagine he was doing show prep up until the moment he got let go. It's definitely the biggest shock today

I am sad for everyone who lost their job because losing your job is awful.
I am sure a vast majority will be going to fox sports. I can see Ed Werder going to fox to improve their nfl base.

Idk if it's been posted here yet, but ESPNU is moving their operations from Charlotte to Bristol. Idk in what capacity this affects the SEC Network

Keep in mind all those people are now looking for jobs and part of their jobs is their public presence, composure and image. Everybody praising ESPN isn't doing it out of their love for ESPN

Jemelle Hill, Michael Smith, Stephen A. Smith, Bomani Jones, Dan Le Batard, Dick Vitale, Mel Kiper, and all the Sports Reporters douche bags still have jobs? What gives??
Eta: Didn't read the previous 58 pages. But ESPN kept all the people driving their ratings down.

You believe espin doesn't spend an inordinate amount of time pandering to 12% of the population?
I wish some of my fellow conservatives would wake the frick up.

ESPN leans left quite a bit, no argument there.
However, insinuating white males were disproportionately targeted with this layoff is fricking nonsense. We've already gone over the numbers if you care to educate yourself.

Fwiw, 37/54 of the laid off are white men. I'm sure this fact will be used numerous ways.
Posted on 4/26/17 at 7:10 pm to Keys Open Doors
So 68% of ESPN layoffs were white males
I would say about 40-50% of espn is white male
So contrary to what slackster wants you to believe, it was a disproportionate layoff
No big deal though
