That and people are looking for nmore niche ways to get information about sports (podcast). I can remember years ago the local BR guys making fun of the podcast/blog movement. Now every single one of them has one.

The big question is how? What can ESPN do to reverse the trend and try to win back cord cutters? It's a losing battle IMO.

I don't disagree for the most part. Maybe they're trying to speed up the inevitable of by bolstering Steven A, SC 6 etc.

Podcasts is where it is at. The Pardon My Take podcast is better then 95% of sports talk on TV/radio

I've heard of two of those, Werder and Bowden. Bowden only because he's on Sirius fantasy sports radio.

I'm really interested to see where they go in the future. I think these guys are too good and getting to big to "just be a podcast".

Isn't she considered one of their top people now?

I really don't think any of their prime names will be laid off. If anything, they're laying off lower and middle tier people to be able to pay their top people big salaries.

he relies too heavily on theriot to back up what he says
When he talks to people like Hunt, he uses leading questions to get them to back up his perspective. Like "Don't you think this team is still in a good position to host a regional?" "Isn't is important to have someone like Romero protecting Deichmann?"

Yes, I'm triggered.

In all honest, I miss the days when espn 2 used to show strongman competitions all night or x games material. The fact is that espn (like other major new agencies) are too big to fully adapt to the change in how people get their media.

They'll sell out at some point. They even admitted it before

Right now on ESPN they're discussing the "whitest" and the "blackest" positions in the NFL.

Same here. If I was browsing and came across paintball or darts, I would stop to watch.

So more Kanell? While I like him, I don't think his role on the should increase. I like the fact that Russillio calls him out on some of the shite he puts out there.

So do nothing to try to get any of it back?

That viewership isn't coming back.

Well, it's not our job. They are paid to put something good out there. Just because I can't do any better doesn't mean I can't acknowledge they aren't doing a great job. What an absolutely stupid comment from you.

It is your job. If you can't even tell us what you would prefer, what are they supposed to do?

I think one thing you said was go back to the way it used to be, which I assume you mean things like the same SC highlights in the mornings. We've already explained how social media has rendered that format obsolete. No one is tuning in to look at highlights that happened yesterday. ESPN had to change.
