Today they just should have said across all platforms, "The Pelicans are the biggest soorts story of the day, but we don't care about them, so here's some shite we made up about Tom Brady instead."

Dude all morning they were talking about the Pelicans. Also Tom Brady possibly not playing is bigger than any NBA story after only 2 games in the first round.

What is ESPN's angle here? Why do you believe they're doing whatever it is you think they're doing?

I saw live this morning where Adam Schefter reported the Brady thing. They have hours to report on shite so they need filler and this helped them get through the day with some new content. Nothing more...

The Pelicans are finally in the playoffs and you are mad there is not more attention on them after taking a 2-0 lead on Portland? Is that it? Let them win the series first.

I remember this board crying disrespect about a decade ago (damn I’m old) when the Hornets took a 2-0 lead on San Antonio in the Semis.

Let this thing play out. If you win enough, even ESPN will give you the publicity you want.

what's their agenda supposed to be in this case? higher ratings?

why do people act like espn shouldn't be biased towards the major markets? they don't have to be fair.

I feel like youd live a much happier life if you'd quit ESPN

We may need to stage an intervention

My god you need to relax off this ESPN shite. YOU are not their target audience. Their target audience is as many people as possible.

The Pelicans are a great story right now, but to think they take precedence over Brady is lunacy.

NBA ratings: 2.7 WITH a 17% increase.
Saints/Vikings playoff rating: 21.8

More people care about the NFL BY FAR than the NBA

The NFL 1st day DRAFT will have 3x the numbers of viewers of the average NBA playoff game.

NO ONE watches the NBA especially the Pelicans

Might have something to do with the fact that the Pelicans are among the least recognizable US professional sports teams in terms of brand, city and accomplishments.

2.7 share? Do you understand what that means?

Once again they're in FOURTH place behind NFL,CFB and
MLB by a WIDE margin.

No they aren't. Game 5 of the NBA Finals was behind several NFL games, but ahead of any MLB, NHL, or College Football game this past season.

You have to be pretty stupid and biased to believe NBA “is behind MLB by a wide margin.”

Comparing NFL average playoffs rating to average playoff rating for NBA and they the certainly are.

CFB vs NBA

Bama/Georgia 16.7 vs Cavs/GS 16.0 (game 5)

Regular season NBA vs CFB isn't close

MLB average playoff rating 4.8 vs NBA 2.7

Dodgers Astros didn't beat game 5 but weren't far off with a 15.1
