I lived in Jackson (eventually Brandon) for 20 years. It's a poor, nasty, crime-ridden city, and I was glad to get out. Trust me, no one on the Gameday crew is staying anywhere near JSU...and they're vacating the entire area before the sun goes down.

I just watched part of a vid showing Jackson. Had a nice appearing hotel, like a Hilton Suites or similar, with a boarded up, disintegrating, Shoney's right next to it.
