ESPN - Meet the 2020 NFL draft quarterback class

quote:
Jacob Eason, Washington
NFL evaluator on Eason: "He's an interesting one because he's got such limited tape. Hardly played at Georgia, then transferred and had to sit out. He's tall, athletic and has big-time arm talent. But with him there's a lot of inexperience, and it's hard to evaluate quarterbacks if you don't see them go through situations more than once. If he comes out, there will be a limited amount of tape to evaluate him. But you can feel the arm strength and the athleticism." -- NFL scout
quote:
Joe Burrow, LSU
NFL evaluator on Burrow: "Amazing story. Really wasn't on the radar at the beginning of this year as an early-round guy, but he's got some skills, and he's answered every question. Looks like the kind of guy you want as a franchise-type guy. The pre-draft process will dig into it more, but he's got NFL throws. He seems like he's got the right stuff inside of him." -- NFL personnel executive
quote:
Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama
NFL evaluator on Tagovailoa: "You love the talent and what he's accomplished, but there were health concerns. What will the combine medicals show? You're going to want your own doctors to get a look at him. He comes with a lot of questions right now just because you don't know when you'll have him." -- NFL personnel executive
quote:
Justin Herbert, Oregon
NFL evaluator on Herbert: "An immensely talented and athletic quarterback and an even better person. He's shown he's a winner. If you were building a video-game quarterback, it would look like this. The height, the arm, the athleticism all jump out at you. He showed he actually was a leader and had presence this year. You look at the way his teammates look at him and talk about him, and it says everything." -- NFL scout

Burrow and Tua are the only QBs worth drafting in the first round. Herbert = Trubisky 2.0

quote:Right, what was that quote rambling on about, that was weird.
“Hardly even played” Eason played every game for Georgia in 2016
Career pass attempts:
Eason 750
Burrow 857
Tua 684
No one is claiming limited game film for Tua.

2 years vs. 3.
You guys make this so complicated.

What does this mean in the context of the post to which you responded?

this man will be a contrarian to literally every single post until the day he dies. At least most contrarians on this site are a little funny. this guy is by far the worst poster on this site at the moment and will make a run at all time

3 years of tape vs. 2.
Decision making. Big games. Big situations. And tough throws.
From a scouts perspective Eason has one season in each offense. No qb knows an entire offense in one year.

Noting 3 vs 2 isn’t contrarian.
Listing total passes is meaningless.
Best part is you being contrarian to people who get paid to evaluate.

Is there limited film on burrow? 2v2
Posted on 12/20/19 at 3:45 pm to FightnBobLafollette
Tua and Burrow only have 2 seasons of tape as well.
The different offenses is a fair point.

quote:So there's less game film despite more pass attempts because of 2 years vs 3 years?
2 years vs. 3.
You guys make this so complicated.
Also, Burrow/Eason/Tua all started 2 full seasons and little more, so...

Facts have never stood in the way of a fightingbob insanely stupid take.

Tua also injury prone, Burrow isn't.

Cool.
The actual quote you're trying to argue in support of:
He started an entire season at Georgia so that isn't true.
