Ed Reed out as Bethune-Cookman head coach

That is a damn shame, because as much I believe Deion Sanders is a narcissistic fraud of a head coach, he did bring a ton of much needed positive publicity to Jackson St and HBCU's in general. To a lesser degree, I felt Ed Reed could've done the same thing for Bethune-Cookman.

Guys like Reed know what it takes to develop championship practices for life. All of those have been in environments that are overwhelmingly black.

He barely touched on the contract situation in the video. If anything it made them say "frick this dude that's trashing us and our school let's not even try to work this contract issue out".

There is no such thing as bad publicity for an HBCU. Irrelevance is their number one enemy. Besides, the social media news cycle is 48 hours at best. His comments could've been turned into an instant positive if it had been handled correctly.

I could understand the part about the office would make you upset but shitting on the track's condition, when that's the same condition it was in when you took the job is just bad. They didn't pull the wool over his eyes there, he was just trying to embarrass them with that.

Because that's the only place willing to take a chance and give him a head coaching job on the college level. That's why it's particularly shitty to immediately start his tenure by shitting on the only place willing to give him that chance. If he wanted to show that him and his players were cleaning things up and other people needed to pitch in there were much better ways to do it.
