90% of the people in this thread are just awful, and can't rationally discuss a basketball game to save their lives. This board starts to look like fricking ESPN forums whenever the subject is Lebron. Just talk about the damn game

Meh you get used to it. It's what the internet has become: a giant flame war between trolls.

I don't know the exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure they Boston had a lot more fouls as a whole as well.

Perception bias

What, you don't think 5 technicals on Boston, while none were called on Miami, played a good part in the game?

I think it was 4, and Miami missed 1 of those free throws. So no, I certainly don't think those 3 points made any difference in the outcome of the game.

If none of those technicals ever happen, Boston still loses easily.

Miami missed two of those free throws actually. And none of them caused a change in possession as someone tried to say earlier. So two points is what all this TERRIBLE officiating gave the Heat.

It will not make any difference in the end. No matter what the refs or fans do, Boston can not beat Miami in a 7 game series right now.

The Heat/Bron haters are searching very hard.

Its really funny at times.

I actually don't think Rondo's or Garnett's was BS. Yea Garnett didn't hit the ball that hard but they had already warned the Celtics against doing that. In fact i wouldn't be surprised if the league had seen tape of the celtics doing that in past games. That's the exact sort of gamesmanship the wily ole C's love to do. Just barely tapping the ball away so it takes the Heat or another fast paced team an extra second and a half to get the ball inbounds. Smart if you can get away with it but if you get caught it's a technical

I was wondering how many of the techs were called because of previous warnings

One of the Miami beat writers said 2 of the 5 Techs were procedural delay of game warnings. I think they were the Garnett and Rondo Ts, but I'm not sure to be honest.

I think that is right. I can't remember what Rondo did, but KG's was well-deserved because he was trying to slow down Miami's constant push down the floor by tapping the ball away. The ref saw it and called it. There was no use arguing that one.

2 of the Techs were deserved.. KG had been warned and continuely hit the ball to delay the game so got a tech.. Rondo slightly shoved shane into the stands after a shot and that's why another was called.. The one on Doc was kinda dumb but there could have been warnings before hand, who knows.. The Ray Allen one was just some anger after a no call that has been called before, but shouldn't have been called.. Either way it was only 2-3 point differential which wouldn't have changed the game.. Also Miami only made 5-25 (20%) from 3's which is terrible.. If you dont expect them to get a higher % than that in the next few games you are crazy.. This game could have been a lot worse. Miami in 5 or possible sweep for sure.
