Never said they aren’t good. Many players get overhyped whether it’s the league they play in or are just 7 on 7 camp warriors. There’s definitely more to it than he wants to be stress free and richer. Once you win that first one it becomes an addiction.

Dennis is a very close friend. It’s comical to see people like you, who have probably never even met him, speculate about his motives. I guarantee only one thing, he is not running away because the talent left. That alone tells me you don’t know anything about him.

He’s done nothing but good for Cecilia. O got fired for many allegations , O is a great recruiter he could’ve assembled another roster just like 19-20 roster.

EA has underperformed their talent over the last 5-7 years. Will be interesting to see what impact this may have on their program.

This is just a stupid comment. You’re probably one of those guys that think 4 and 5 stars automatically make a player good.
I've seen him in person and I see 20 or so games a year in person - and I know they have a real good JR.

I have called out several over rated 4 and 5 stars on this board. long before they flopped.

Unless, Cecilia plays all 5A teams in non-district they will be way over .500 winning percentage. As you've mentioned, Opelousas loses a lot, so who will beat them? Beau Chene, Livonia?
same non district as last year

What is going on? Is the money better or just tired of the problems of being a head coach?
It is becoming increasingly difficult in every sport to be a head coach and the main issue is parents. Believe it or not it is significantly worse at private school - especially if they win.

Well, they should be OK then. They played Central BR and St. Augustine (both losses). St. Aug replaced St. Amant because of Hurricane, if I'm not mistaken.

Are you sure they will play the same Non-District schedule? I think the AD's arrange non district schedule's every year.

It’s a 2 year cycle and this fall will be the second year

EA just hit the gold mine. Having two successful head coaches (one with a state championship) enter your program will make EA a contender in 5A. Teurlings and Cecilia will take huge hits and it's going to show this fall.

As I understand it, Ascension parish gives coaches stipends like a traditional bonus. Percentage of overall salary. Very attractive for coaches who are tired of getting paid peanuts for all the long hours they put in

I wouldn't know. I'm in the Lafayette area. Do they normally get kids from EA?

He’s also the one who helped get EA’s head coach, Brock Matherne his first major gig at the HS level. So there’s a level of familiarity there

Probably… we’re talking about two perennial state championship level programs…
