Pretty sure they'd have to renounce Lebron and JR to use that cap space, which they're not doing. So they'd be offering Wade the exception.
Or he signs with Milwaukee or Denver and is traded to the Cavs 2 months into the season, Lebatard mentioned that as a possibility.

Do Cavs fans actually want this? He didnt exactly play that well with Lebron. Yeah they got 2 rings but that was because Lebron beasted on some fools.

It's not an ideal fit but Wade over Shumpert in their small ball lineup is a huge upgrade.

That being said, it's obviously childish/nitpicky how DWade's handling it again. But at the end of the day, I get why he feels he deserves the money, and I also get Riley's side as well, wanting to keep options open for next season's free agency as well.

yeah, if i've learned anything about Lebron this year compared to last and his time in Miami compared to his first run in Cleveland is that he doesn't need a supporting cast of great players to win NBA titles....
