And outperformed them in every positional statistical category and multiple times on the field.

Pro football reference Approximate Value average per season played:

Peyton Manning - 15.06

Tom Brady - 13.45
Brett Favre - 12.75
Dan Marino - 12.71
John Elway - 12.69

Roger Staubach - 11.64
John Unitas - 10.36 (1960 - 1973)
Joe Montana - 10.25

Sammy Baugh - no rating (before 1960)
Otto Graham - no rating (before 1960)

Brees - 13.47
Tarkenton - 13.11

I understand the Championships of Roger, Johnny, and Joe, but that is a team stat.

Brees not ranked =

Damn, didn't even think about him. Really goes to show how lazy and skewed this type of crap is.

Maybe not Staubach but there are names on that list that do not belong on there more than Brees or Rodgers

You need to compare brees v the league average and what the other guys did compared to league average. KIRK cousins and romo are both top 5 all time at passer rating. You can’t compare passing stats today with those of the past as an apples to apples.

Would anybody put Timmy Chang or Case Keenum on a list for top all-time college QBs?

If they played on a power 5 team that won something of relevance? Yea probably. Bad comparison

I always take these things with a grain of salt. A decade from now breeze will be on the list in one of those other guys will be dropped. There will always be some superstar who is lightning in a bottle that will be the next big thing. Some dude on a message board will be pissed off because that guy is not on the list. It is what it is.

But when you look at the list all have multiple NFL Titles
Brett Favre doesn't have meow titles than Brees and sure as shite wasn't remotely a better QB than Brees. Not even close.

Brees is like Andy Murray - he's great but he had the misfortune of being born during the same era as THREE others who were (arguably) the best to ever play.
And he's also arguably better than those guys too.

If that's the case, how come there wasn't a single CB who primarily played during the 21st century that made the all-time 100 team? CBs such as Champ Bailey, Charles Woodson, and Darrelle Revis had it way harder than the defensive backs of years past and still dominated yet none of them made the list.

Well, do we do the same with Brady? Because Brees outpaces Brady if we're comparing to a league average.

Wait, Champ Bailey and Charles Woodson didn't make the 10 best defensive back list?

Drew compares very favorably to his peers. You know that.

While I think Brees should be on an all-time team, I'm not surprised at him not making the list. Always thought no MVPs would hurt him in something like this.

No MVPs points to how underrated he's been. He was named offensive POtY in a year where Rodgers won MVP. Think about that absurdity.

Fwiw, Staubach has no MVPs either. The love he's getting in this thread is simply Cowboys nostalgia.
