What are you talking about? 5 mock drafts have him going in the first round, why in the frick would he stay for no reason?

Because he hasn't played football in over a year and he has off-the-field issues that NFL GMs don't like.

A productive college season with him staying out of trouble would've raised his stock.

Do you even NFL, bro?

Do you? Telling a player with a first round projection to come back to college, I'll say no, no you do not NFL.

How accurate are mock drafts... especially one's being made at this time of the year? The only way I see it happening is if everything falls in the right way for him. His arse better not even have a jay walking ticket from now until the draft. It can happen but I think you're severely underestimating the impact off his off the field issues given how it's so magnified these days.

For overall projections? Pretty accurate if it's multiple ones saying the same thing. If it's 1 or 2, iffy. In this case with 5 major sites having him in the first round? Pretty solid.

Yes and no, he's been out of trouble for what, a year now? He'll be trained for his GM interviews at the combine to a tee.

The teams projected to take him are the teams with GM's that gamble all the time like that, 49ers, Patriots, Seahawks.

For the top tier talent, like maybe the top 10 picks, I'd say overall projection wise, it's could be close to 50 percent... as more information is gathered. When you're talking about outside the top 10, those odds drop dramatically. Even his coach think it's foolish for him to look at those mock drafts and say it's less than 20% of the time they're right. It's just people throwing shite on the wall and hoping it sticks as of right now.

I hope his draft grade eval is leaked soon so we can put an end to it. Mock drafts mean nothing and meant for entertainment purposes.

He'd be better off staying one more year - he could be a 1st round lock in 2016 if he had one productive year @ OU to shake off the rust and rehab his off-field image.

i agree with this. it would be 100x easier for him to get into the 1st round if he goes back

You think catching passes from Trevor Knight's garbage arse is going to improve DGB draft stock?

Meh, I think that's pretty much BS, mock drafts are pretty accurate at the skill positions because it's a certain set of teams that need QB, or WR help, or RB, etc.

Just like with DGB's projections, they are teams that need WR help, and GM's that have gambled on character issues for raw talent in the past.

And the fact that he is leaving, tells me his draft eval is probably in line with most of those mock drafts. I don't think if he had a 3rd round or worse draft eval he would have declared.

Based on talent alone, Green-Beckham is not only one of the best wide receivers in the draft but one of the best players at any position. At 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds with impressive speed (he was a state champion in the 100-meter dash in high school), Green-Beckham is a physical freak who has been compared to Randy Moss.

No doubt. I could definitely see a good team taking a chance on him late in the 1st.

I don't think anyone would disagree with that assessment... based on talent alone. But it's not.

It's not the weed, no NFL GM is going to give much of a shite about weed now with the new drug policy on it. It's the domestic violence that has royally plagued the NFL this year. Luckily for him he was cleared of any wrong doing legally so it shouldn't be held against him too badly. Without that he'd be gone in the top 10-15 picks for sure.

Maybe because OU is firing coaches like crazy, and Stoops may be done himself.
