They'd only need 14 to beat that offense.
Forreals??? I don't think MSU would be a challenge for Alabama in the slightest.

Has Ohio State scored 42 yet this year? Ewwww

Besides last week

You are probably right, but it's not like we have any way of knowing that for sure.

The upset is coming somewhere this weekend, but not sure which CCG it happens in.

I remember when Jason White and the Sooners got gashed by Roberson and Sproles in the Big 12 Championship Game and OU still went to the BCS Title Game.

Yes. In reverse order this year:

Ann Arbor - 42
Rutgers - 49
Maryland - 49
Virginia Tech - 42
Oregon - 42
Alabama - 42

Nope, but we do have a way to figure out who the best team is on the field. It starts with them getting the best four teams right.

It will be interesting to find out if the goal of the committee is the four best teams or to appease at least 4 conferences. Obviously, if Clemson wins they are in but a Clemson loss leaves some interesting decisions.

I don't know, that's the point of the playoff. I can tell you I think the four best teams in the country are Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan State, and Ohio State. I don't think it's close either.

Notre Dame and FSU are fluke losses away from really messing this 4 team playoff up.

Bama, Oklahoma and Clemson are the 3 best teams. OSU is probably the best team in the country. If not for MSU's fluke win, they wouldn't be in this conversation.

MSU outgained them 294 to 132. TOP was 38-22. On one hand, you can say that MSU may not have won without a monsoon. On the other, with Connor Cook they might have won by two touchdowns.

I sort of want OSU to get in to see the MSU melt.

Notre Dame, yes. They'd be in the conversation regardless of what happens this weekend.

FSU wouldn't be in the conversation unless Clemson or Alabama loses.

I was interrupted by this thing called work, but I'm back for some more fun!

No OSU fan should even bring up the two FCS schools argument, because UNC will have played one more game than OSU. I may need to argue with a few of you over the following statement........but playing an FCS school is more difficult than sitting at home and playing no one.

You mean you don't get paid to do this?

Two FCS games easily negates any advantage UNC gets from playing an extra game.

I'd argue that an FCS team is the equivalent to an extra practice and would be an advantage for UNC. If UNC had only played one FCS team or if UNC played two more games than Ohio State, you might have a point. I still wouldn't agree with it, but at least you'd have a point.

Not yet. But if UNC wins this weekend and makes the CFP, I will assume it was because of my posts and pursue a career.

More like OSU playing one less game negates the scheduling advantage they could have had over UNC due to playing two FCS schools.

Six of one, half dozen of the other.

In MSU's wins over OSU and UM they outgained Urban/Harbaugh in total yardage 680-362, had more first downs with 37-15, and bested both teams safely in yards/play. MSU was losing in these games because of s stupid fake punt, a muffed punt, and a fumble.

Only OSU fans could look shaky all year, get dominated by a team playing without their QB and best player, then run around saying it was a fluke and that they're definitely the best team.

Ohio State has the horses

I don't think MSU does though

#10 and Jeff Long pretty much just said exactly what I've been saying. They won't put UNC in the playoff, no matter what happens.

Doesn't mean UNC doesn't deserve to be in (the question posed by the OP). Only that the committee will do what they can to take care of the tradition-rich programs. That said, this was never going to be the week UNC would jump everyone. Let's wait and see what happens after next weekend if we win.
