does UF fans hate Spurrier like LSU fans hate Saban?

Seems like the same situation...both coaches successful at respective schools, both leave for $$$ and the NFL, both suck in NFL and come back to college ball in the SEC...

Probably not, because SC isn't a main rival of UF, and they aren't that good.

Even if they were, they eventually ended up with Meyer and won a NC, so there's no reason to be mad anymore.

Nobody will admit to this, but after Zook, Florida got a great coach in Meyer. You just can't say the same for LSU.

Saban didnt win a Heisman for LSU and have a decade of dominance in the bank to endear himself to fans over. The others are right also on South Carolina not being a big enough threat for there to be that type of hatred. LSU had the Bama game circled this year, and probably will for the next few years. Florida (I would think) has UGA, FSU, Auburn, UT, and LSU ranked ahead of SC in terms of games they get all hot and bothered over.

At the time he came back I think Florida fans resented it, but the fact that SC sucks and like was stated before, not really a rival, it did not matter as much.
He is a hero for Florida, it is not like that for Saban at LSU.
