I would bet the sales and clicks generated by this cover/article dwarf all other GQ editions for the year. Hell, probably going back a few years.

Let's not forget him talking about Castro & how great of a leader he was. That was really enlightening.

still hadnt heard of it from any other source, other than an idiot talking about what a HR it is

By posting in a thread about media bias. Which would be referencing that cover, because few think it is an actual HR

How is it not a HR? Explain.

There were multiple threads on the OT. Multiple threads on the MSB. I'm sure multiple threads on the Poli Talk.

Each NFL news website ran a story about it. I don't check national news sites but I'm sure each side is talking about it.

It probably the most discussed news article / cover for GQ in years.

That's not exactly how I'd phrase it, but yes.

I think we can all agree that the Texans weren't gonna look at Watt and say "Oh, you're raising money for a natural disaster? We don't need that kind of distraction in the locker room. Here's your pink slip."

And yet after a weekend full of sports, and multiple breaking news stories, no one I know has mentioned it, posted it, or referred to it in any way. I stiil haven't seen it. Even tho I'm being told (again) that its a HR

And I wouldn't know it existed had someone not brought it up in a thread about media being biased toward dysfunctional beliefs

The very definition of not a HR

Hell, I even knew that people were breaking coffee machines because of a TV interview. But nada on Kap being on some mag cover

It appears that your head has been in the sand for the past couple days. Multiple threads on every related board. Coverage from the major news networks.

The very definition of a HR for a magazine article.

Most likely the most purchased and discussed GQ article in years, but it's not a HR because you didn't hear about it until one day later.

Despite the major media coverage, Robb Bobb didn't hear about the Kaepernick cover until day 2.

Definitely not a HR.

Case closed.

No they value sales. Ain’t no body buying another “watt is best dude ever” story all over again.

It may be the correct story but print media is dying and GQ managed to get people talking about them.

Other than you talking about it right now.

Weird that you'd disagree that this gives them more pub than they've likely gotten in a long time.

Nor anyone that I am related to

Nor anyone I work with

Nor anyone of my social media

Nor anyone that controls the MSN or Bing news feeds. The stories on my feed are Lebron takes shot at Kyrie, CFB playoffs, player punches coach, Vikings mad about Olsen

Yeap. Whoever made the decision to go that route is getting a raise. It did exactly what they wanted.

Damn, none of your relatives or co-workers talked to you about it so clearly they didn't hear about it.

Search for GQ Kaepernick and whatever news you follow. There is a story there.

Your head was just stuck in the sand for the past couple days.

You just don't know when to quit, do you? This story got more pub than any GQ story in years and you won't admit that it was a success... because your close circle of relatives and co-workers didn't bring it up.

Back to the poli board you go.
