How much more can the Clippers offer CP3 than other teams?
I don't know the exacts, but it's maybe $1-2mil more per year. But the big thing, just like Dwight, they can offer 1 extra year, so basically they can offer 5 years and around $30mil more than other teams who can offer 4 years.

Granted, he could recoup that 5th year when he signs his next deal, but of course it's always better to have it guaranteed now.

Someone can probably correct me, but I think it's in that ballpark.

He wants to play with Melo in NY. The money is an issue though and the only real scenario I see that happening in is if the Knicks trade Amare....and lets face it, that isn't going to happen. But I can enjoy the pipe dream untilits official he signs with someone else

Not only that, it would have to be Amare to LAC and a Paul sign and trade, so that definitely won't happen

I couldn't help, but post my hate for Paul when I saw his name. He is a great player though and I think he stays with the clips.

The better question is why do people get so wrapped up and liking or disliking players? That is the most fair question of all lol.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it at all obviously, but people get so consumed by it that they stop worrying about simply enjoying the product.

Hard to enjoy the product when the product acts like a small child when he doesn't get his way.

Then that's on you.

You must not enjoy watching Kobe, Lebron, or Duncan becaus there is zero chance you can tell me they don't whine almost every trip down the court.

If you can't see how great he is, then like I said, that's on you for not being able to recognize and enjoy what you're watching.

I'm kind of neutral on CP3 but don't act like he's perfect...

Doesn't play hard unless it's a big game and constantly flops/complains.

Paul's people are happy he's in LA, that's where they'll make the most money off of him, so everyone around him will tell him to stay. I think the most likely scenario is that they hire Jerry Sloan and he stays, but if Dwight leaves LA too I think both ending up in Houston, Atlanta or New Orleans is a possibility, with Houston being the favorite.

Realistically, how is Houston in play for both?

I'm looking at their salaries and I don't even know how they'll afford one of them other than a sign and trade involving Asik/Lin?

I'm not sure the logistics of 1, much less 2. But would definitely love to hear some options thrown around.

Did you mean to put Dallas instead of N.O?

That's part of the fun of the game. You have players you love and players you hate. It's fun watching them play each other and pulling for your favorite players. I do respect and enjoy watching a player dominate a game, no matter who it is though. All the players you named complain, but nothing like CP3 and I probably dislike Tim Duncan more then any player in the NBA.

No I didn't. Dallas has Dirk and shite. They don't have the cap space or assets to get both CP3 and Dwight, the 3 teams I listed have the cap space and another star level player to form a big 3.
