I mean if Lebron was the PG of Golden State how good would they be? They really can't be much better, but IDK if we would really see a drop off. Their defense would probably improve and the 3pt shooting would decrease.

Curry is special, but idk if his shooting makes him better than Lebron's overall versatility.

so it's a good thing that steph is also an elite playmaker

My opinion is the only thing Curry is better at is shooting so that doesn't matter. He is probably the best ever shooter, but I don't know if it makes up for every other argument for Lebron.

steph has a similar AST% and an equal TOV% with a similar USG%. The only thing that lebron is notably better than steph at is grabbing boards. Steph is also having a similar defensive year

Curry is having the better season for sure

But last year LeBron showed me who the man was in the finals still

Until Steph shows that this year, I give the best player title to Lebron.

I'd like to see Curry carry a team like Lebron in half of his seasons

He is better than Lebron. I think as the season goes on we will get to the point where it becomes evident they are two ships passing in the night.

Steph is straight up breaking teams this year in a way I don't even think peak Bron could.

LeBron has easily had a better career and yet the whole "look at how many Finals he's been in" argument is complete crap-- he's in the East it's like FSU in the 90s or Boise in the 00s-- his teams are great but they essentially only have to win one series while the Spurs or the Warriors or the Mavs or whoever have to fight through series after series against 4 of the top 5 teams in the league and it's been like that for nearly a decade.

LeBron's decline has started, but he's still really good.

Wait is this serious? The entire reason that system works is that 4 of the 5 players on the court at any time hit 3s at a 40% or better clip and they have 2 of the 4 best volume 3pt shooters in the league (arguably the top 2), having the greatest shooter of all time as the point guard makes it work. Sub in LeBron and opposing teams clog the lane and sit on Klay; Green becomes a stationary spot shooter like Bosh and Love became, etc.

Curry is better than Lebron. Jordan is better than curry. Where does that leave Lebron?

Steph is bar none the best shooter in the league.

However, I still think Lebron is the best overall player. Can play the 1-5 and plays great defense. If Lebron wanted to score 40+ a night, he could. But most of the time he's a pass first player.

Curry/Livingston > Irving/Williams
Thompson/Rush > Shumpert/Smith
AI/Barnes < LeBron/Jefferson
Green/Speights > Love/Thompson
BogutEzeli > Mozgov/Varejao

Clearly you can see who has the better supporting cast.

Now if we're putting LeBron back in Miami, it might be a different story with a resurgent Wade, a still efficient Bosh, and a stad padding Whiteside
