Same sport, completely different experiences.
CFB is like a cultural ritual. There are traditions, pageantry, and emotions that the NFL just can't provide for me.
NFL is the professional version of football, and it feels that way. While I do like the NFL, the overall perfection of the teams make it hard to get emotionally invested.
Especially being in SEC country, I don't think I could ever have the same feeling and reaction to a player dropping a crucial pass like I did when Georgia's receiver dropped that ball. I was in a restaurant and the entire restaurant erupted when he dropped it. There's just something there in college football that the NFL doesn't have.

I would normally say no, but with Michigan blanking three teams in a row and Gameday coming to Ann Arbor...yeah.

I use to but then I got the Sunday ticket and do the 8 game at once screen. Since then it's like Christmas every Sunday

neither is the same anymore. I don't see how one is better than the other.
in college there are a lot of good games but involve teams I don't give a shite about. I can't stand it when people act like they give a shite about a game that ends 52-45. Play some fricking defense please.
the pro game is super annoying to watch now b/c of all the flags.

It doesn't help that the storylines aren't that great. Aside from Rodgers and Brady twerking people, nothing really that entertaining or compelling to watch in the league right meow. Cowboys season is over, the Chip Kelly stuff seems to have faded, and Legion of Boom stuff is stale. Obviously, the Saints aren't that entertaining, but I'm watching for the younger players from this draft so that at least makes it interesting to me. But outside of that and fantasy football, the league's efforts to make it unwatchable are almost kind of working.

I don't know how some people turn around and root like that for the Saints the next day, for example. I'm drained by Sunday. I don't mind not having an NFL team and just passively catching the games.
Not that hard. I can watch an exciting game on consecutive days.
Sometimes the college game is boring and the NFL game is exciting, like last week--we had a boring win over a rental opponent while the Saints won in overtime.

[quote]re: Does anyone else have a hard time getting excited for the NFL after CFB?(Posted on 10/11/15 at 9:39 am to King of New Orleans) Because I'm more emotionally invested in college football. College football Saturday's are my favorite...I'm watching from College Gameday til 2 AM. The NFL on the other hand is emotionless. I'm not emotionally invested. If it wasn't for fantasy football, I probably would have a hard time watching.
Feel the exact same and I don't do fantasy football. Saints game is on in my house, but it's too damn pretty outside....about to head out for a round of golf. NFL regular season is meh IMO.

To you its that way
I don't see how anyone could say with a straight face that the NFL has as much emotion in the games as college does.

It's so boring compared to cfb (especially when your team sucks).
