He's just too slow and too much of an isolation player to really gel with the Warriors' scheme, in my opinion. Now, if I were the Warriors this past summer, I absolutely would have signed him to the deal they did. The risk/reward ratio is wildly in favor of Golden State, I just don't see it working out the way everybody is saying it will.

It's all about having the ability to adjust lineups based on match-up.
Add him to the mix, and that's many more combinations that they can create to be on the court depending on who the opponent is.

Their death lineup won't include him.

But you can play him for 20mpg and he's gonna cause issues to other teams.

You can seriously now have 2 or 3 of them on the court at all times.

Yeah, even 15-20 minutes of Boogie is an improvement over 20 minutes of Magee or the other centers they've rolled out over the years

He can be a total prick, but they can also just bench his arse. He has way more to lose than the Warriors do.

GSW have broken the NBA. If he sucks and slows down their pace a little, they still win 65+ and coast to another title regardless.

Turnover prone. Not a ball mover by any means. don’t hustle. Gonna be moving a little slower from the injury. He will be good in spots but doesn’t really make them any tougher to beat. Reckon he won’t be on the court when the games are decided ie crunch time so that limits his value either positive or negative big time just by that.

Stop talking about Melo. This is a Boogie discussion.

They both are not on the court when the game matters. So yes they are more alike then different in their roles this season. Tough to be the guy who “breaks the league” when your bum is on the bench the last 4 minutes of the game isn’t it Bubba.

I don’t think he plays with the death lineup when there’s two minutes left in the game unless he’s the hot hand.

He’ll probably start but will be the first one subbed out and from there will be used to abuse lesser bench bigs and when (less talented) teams try to go small. Easy points.

He's a man for man replacement of JaVale McGee. Unless he's a distraction off the court, in that role, he's a massive upgrade.

He just has to accept that role.

They are paying virtually nothing for an all star center who doesn’t even need to play that much. Of course he makes them better
