BS gets viewers...just like Stephen A....just like Bayless. The only thing I question ESPN on is why do they only have the mouths (except for Bayless) only talking about the NBA?
Stephen A does first take with Bayless so how can 1 only talk about the NBA?
I know Stephen A and Simmons have large NBA roles but they branch out especially Simmons. His first book was on the Red Sox and during football season he does weekly podcasts and columns on the lines and other nfl stories.

No.
Who is then? SVP- that's fine. Bill is number #2.

According to comScore, Simmons' column had averaged 1.4 million pageviews and 460,000 unique visitors a month over the previous six months in November 2009

Simmons conceived the idea for 30 for 30, a series of documentaries chronicling 30 stories from the "ESPN era."

Your point?
That people pay attention to what he says.

Calm down GCA, it's a two team league.

Actually players can't just leave when they're under contract and if they push management to trade them most of them, CP3, Howard, Anthony, etc get vilified. Hell Lebron actually played out the terms of his contract before even expressing a desire to leave and he got crucified more than anyone. Little hypocritical

Simmons doesn't deserve to get lumped in with bayless and smith. Having strong opinions, like most fans, isn't the same as deliberately picking outrageous stances just to troll viewers and sports fans.
You missed my point.
I lumped him in with them because he pulls people in. It had nothing to do with the manner in which he does it.
To your point, I think Stephen A has gotten better in regards to trolling, but Bayless is Bayless...

Doc's son tweeted a bunch a shite about Bill Simmons earlier today basically backing his dad in calling Bill an idiot.
To which Bill tweeted this in response:

Okay...
They're still only talking that openly about the NBA...
And bringing up a book that BS wrote doesn't really help your point in regards to what he talks about on ESPN.

Right, because his ability to play the game is directly proportional to his ability to form opinions about it.
ETA: Only Michael Jordan may hold an opinion about basketball. All dissenting viewpoints are invalid.

Sounds like you want to nitpick on what "that openly" is. If you listen to his podcast he says plenty of things about players quitting on their coaches and vice versa during the NFL season.
Stephen A is also not known for having a low key opinion regardless of the sport.
But if you don't think it's the same I'm not going to argue about how openly they discuss individual sports.

I think both sides are being childish.

Has anyone posted the article that someone out of Boston out together that compares all of Doc's quotes regarding the trade over the past week? He definitely comes out looking like a complete liar.

Not sure what's worse:
A: national media personality inserting himself into the Celtics franchise
B: head coach of a nba team acting like a spurned 13 yr old
Or
C: two grown men embarrassing themselves with this douchiness
