Do you think the black balling of Art Briles is warranted?

It is beyond insane that there is an uproar because he visited with a family member.

When I consider the fact that Hugh Freeze has a with a state university, I imagine that Briles being completely blackballed must have merit.

Art didn’t rape anyone, he just recruited bad character kids and ignored reports of them committing crimes.

No.

It’s ok for schools not to hire him. But mere affiliation being controversial is bullshite.

I do not care if some programs do not see him as hirable. I do have an issue with people not involved getting outraged over the guy trying to coach a high school program.

I will admit I also have been an advocate of the entire thing being a hit job by ESPN and the university of Texas for years on this site.

The individuals actually accused that went to trial and wound up in prison is no more than any top tier NCAA program over a given span. There were at one time supposedly 100’s of accusations and yet only two players served time, one of which had the verdict overturned like three times.

When was the last time ESPN even spoke on the subject of the ‘scandal?’ Briles was canned and the top story placeholder shortly went away on ESPN.

They had too many financial incentives to not be involved.

Urban Meyer recruited, advocated and covered for a psychopathic, homosexuality fueled serial killer yet we see him on tv everyday. Amongst other upstanding citizens he recruited over the years.
The issue with blackballs is that they aren't evenly distributed. Many cases can be cited for inclusion into the blackballed club.

He’s white so we forgive him.

No. He paid the price for his role and he should be square with the house again

They didn’t want Baylor with no fanbase in annual contention for big bowls, the CFP, and conference championships…
