I am sure they do.. gives them bragging rights in the state which they can "put a number" to.
but it is not as big a deal as when TAMU used to be consistently competitive.

to me (and this is as someone who doesn't particularly care about A&M or Texas) the series has value as a rivalry and should be continued - even if it is an out of conference game I think Texas esp would benefit (they need interesting opponents in their stadium)
