The bottom line is this: if ANY of us were huge sports celebrities and we were falsely accused of rape we would call a press conference and tell the world this is bullshite! The fact that he hasn't proves he is guilty.
At least before he "wasnt charged or identified as a suspect"
Still is..
But NOW is the time to say something.
If he says nothing from here on out.....

That quote was given BEFORE the revelation of the DNA test FWIW.

Meggs told ESPN.com on Wednesday that he probably will not take the case before a grand jury, saying his office would ultimately decide whether it believes it has sufficient evidence to charge Winston with a crime.
That doesn't mean they won't charge him independent of the Grand Jury.
It seems that is the most likely thing as of right now, unless the girl doesn't want to proceed.
If it's a felony, does that even matter?

Johnny Manziel is about to win the Heisman because his closest competition has "character issues." Oh, the irony.

Here's the important part...
Even if she doesnt want to charge him.....he can still be in Florida..

Also keep in mind Meggs gave out that quote Wednesday afternoon. The story concerning Winston's DNA matching the semen in the alleged victim's panties was just released an hour or so ago.

"I'm not stupid," Meggs said. "It is a young man whose life is in a fish bowl right now. I think about that. There's also a young girl whose life has been turned upside down and her life will never be the same, either. We look at it and say, 'Which one of those is most important?' Both. It is a search for the truth and the truth is kind of elusive sometimes."
Yea, this Meggs cat sounds like a good guy.

Because you made idiotic statements throughout.
And saying 'it's just my guess' doesn't cover your stupidity.

That quote from meggs was out of the story about the DNA. It was probably put in this story too to get everything up to date, because it says in the beginning of the story that meggs couldn't be reached for a comment about the DNA report

Pretty sure she wants to charge him...family is still speaking up after 11 months of being told by everyone around to STFU

So, he's saying that he's trying to decide between a guy's privacy being invaded and a girl's traumatic rape being investigated?

We would, and our lawyers would know that these days the court of public opinion is HUGE for celebrities future earning potential and IF we were innocent they would tell us to get out there and tell the world this is bullshite!

Touche nothing. I said IF we were falsely accused. Any attorney that cared about your future earnings would get ahead of this if you were really 100% innocent.

Meh, whatever. I stand by what I said. I hope she's lying, it's the better of the two scenarios.

to be fair, he guy isn't convicted yet.
the burden of proof is on the DA and the victim.

I know...but below was also found in the story about the DNA:
quote:
Meggs couldn't immediately be reached for comment on the DNA report Wednesday night. Tim Jansen, Winston's attorney, didn't immediately respond to a text message from an ESPN reporter.
