Just wonder what the contract looks like, how long until we have another butting of heads?

There have been holdouts like this before, almost annually, but they only lasted a few days at the most. This was the most extensive negotiation, and it seems Disney got their arse kicked.

So LSU Baseball (Non ESPN) games will be on SEC Network+ ? And part of the basic ESPN basic package?

Yes, if you get SEC network on YouTube tv then you have access to SEC+ which is just games aired through the app only. I think there was maybe 2 games all last season that were only on espn+ which is fine over the course of a full season

so, I guess I can cancel my $13 ESPN+ subscription. LSU baseball was the major reason I had it.

LSU of baseball was never on ESPN+ outside of like 1-2 midweek games a season

This whole deal is a major signal to Disney/ESPN that they need to work on improving their brand equity. They would’ve had a lot more leverage if people had trusted them and been willing to follow them to other platforms.

Arrived in Seagrove, FL an hour ago. Wife told me on the drive down that an agreement had occurred. Didn’t even unpack the bags before I got in this house and logged on to YouTube Live to see if true. ESPNs and ABC were back on down here. Now I get to watch UGA/Texas without having to go to some bar.

Correct. If you have YoutubeTV, you have ESPN now, which means you just download the ESPN app, sign in with provider, and you can watch all the SEC+ games that LSU baseball airs on.

Last season, the only game that aired on ESPN+ was Nicholls.

Dallas Baptist was on some random channel and the Texas tournament was on D1Baseball (trash).

So, 5 games total that weren't aired on the basic ESPN package channels.

Anyone who believes that Google took it to the Mouse and showed them is naive. It’s pretty much a guarantee that prices will increase over this and Disney made out well one way or another over this. We have no idea what the backroom deals were. Both companies are shitbags.

Yep. Some people all giddy about YTTV now will be bitching about them raising their prices in a few months.

Just read a tweet from YouTube that said they are launching local ABC stations on a rolling basis, so it may take a while for those to show up

Well, they've got til 2:30 this afternoon to get the Birmingham ABC affiliate going.

I have two thoughts:

1) happy ESPN is back on YoutubeTV
2) waiting to see how bad we got fricked financially
