Did you think that Ronnie Brown would have had a better career than Cadillac Williams?

I completely forgot both of them went that high in the draft.

Didn't Gruden draft Cadillac?

Yes. Ronnie Brown had a more vesatile game. It wasn’t a big surprise that he went a few spots before Williams. That duo always needs to be in the conversation of best RB tandem. They were the entire offense.

Yea, Gruden drafted Cadillac, and then proceeded to run the wheels off of him

I saw their entire careers live. Watched every game. Ronnie was more durable, but Cadillac had more talent. He could change a game with one play. They were a great one two punch.

I didn't realize they both went so high, that's amazing. Cadillac career would have been much better if his knees held up.

Amazing rb duo. This year I've heard alot of people,( primarily UGA fans of course) say Chubb and Michelle are the best rb duo of all time. While they are pretty doggone good, are those guys both even projected in the first round. Even if they are, no way either goes in top 10 let alone top 5.

Dude what?

Jason Campbell was a first round pick.

Had 23 TDs and 2700 yards. Not huge but why risk passing a ton with those two in the backfield.

Different era.

RBs typically went that high.

Felix Jones was a first round pick....

I'll never forget some of my buddies that played defense for Bama complaining about tackling Ronnie Brown. I'd never heard guys talk that way about an opposing player. He broke them.

But, to the OP question, I thought Brown did have a better career. I haven't looked at the stats though.

Sony and Nick’s 4 years directly overlapped and they have set the record for most rushing yards by a duo in ncaa history, so it’s not really that bold of a claim

ITs a different era for offenses. There are more games, and offenses are putting up way bigger numbers than in the past.

Ronnie Brown had 2 season ending injuries in his prime as well and the misfortune of having to split carries with Ricky Williams. In the right situation, he could have been a top 20 RB all-time had he stayed relatively injury free.

Carnell’s style was too violent for his size.

Brown had the thicker frame and better top end speed if I remember correctly.
