Bayless is a contrarian simply to be a contrarian no one takes him very seriously though because it's obvious it's mostly an act. You can tell he doesn't always believe what he says but it's his shtick. The problem with Jemele is she is serious, it isn't an act. She's highly ignorant and doesn't offer much in terms of thought provoking discussion because of the absurdity of her statements. Yet she's unbelievably smug, that's a quality no one likes a ignorant know-it-all especially one who thinks they are on some great social crusade.
