I just checked. It’s back up and they are melting big time about having the LSU game on tv in the club section of the stadium. Hahahah oh no! Some even saying to disconnect the Wi-Fi so nobody can watch on their phones!! That’s some serious melt!

You guys are the insecure ones. Why are you ashamed to call your team by the proper name, University of Louisiana at Lafayette?

You know “LSU” isn’t your full name right? Look up the full name and then get back to me.

Whoa, pump the brakes there. Ole choup is a McNeese guy. Once you start seeing some of these guys for what they really are, their vitriol makes sense. They make LSU fans look bad.

Choupique is probably that LSU fan that got choked out in the Clemson nosebleeds.

I love my schools name. Makes it sound more prestigious just like

I always laugh when ULL peeps use our full name as some sort of comeback/put down. I wish we would use it more. Have never once heard an alum or fan care one way or another unlike ULL.

Our boy Cajun Ninja liked it. His jambalaya looked good, stadium looked good, but look at that thin crowd at the end of his video. Wuf.

It’s hilarious watching Tiger fans be like “it’s ULL” while simultaneously saying “LSU.” I don’t think you can define irony anymore than that.

Take a look at this thread. I’m not the one flipping out over someone else’s name. I’m just calling out the irony on it.

They are not the University of Louisiana. They are a small, directional school

19K enrollment as of 2023. Regional sure but small? Nope.

The insecurity that LSU fans have toward them is seriously sad. It’s a solid school in south Louisiana. Can’t say the same for the others not named LSU

Graduates of UL, ULM, LaTech, and any other instate university that are Tiger fans first are just as bad as the Walmart fans.

ULL diehards that expect people to lose their lifelong LSU fandom the moment they step foot on campus of another college are delusional.

Kids grow up on Tiger football it’s a big part of their lives and yall just think they should stop being fans because they go to a Sun belt/southland school?

It’s not about that, it’s the vitriol spewed by those same fans towards the university’s athletics programs even though it is the university that educated them.

You don’t have to be a Tiger hater to be a Cajuns fan. But constantly getting shite on, by nearly every fan base in this state gets tiresome.

It’s always know your place, that’s not who you are…blah blah blah

Everyone knows who we are, even the high and mighty LSU fans. ULLLLLL us to death, it’s a poor look on y’all, not UL.

Beating a dead horse. Tens of thousands of college students across Louisiana don’t have this issue. You can go to a school and appreciate the university without having to have any interest in the athletics.

Yall are Sun belt. Not Big12. Not ACC. This isn’t even a conversation. Yall just can’t accept that Louisiana is all LSU. This whole “them or us” rhetoric is what causes people to not support Cajuns athletics. If yall would simply be normal, people would support yall in unison with LSU.

Look at other Sun belt schools for example: Troy/USA students are lifelong bama/Auburn fans, GA Southern students are lifelong Georgia fans, Southern Miss students are lifelong State/Ole Miss fans, ULM/LA Tech students are lifelong LSU fans.

What’s the issue?

This is yall problem, it’s not a Cajuns fans job to pull for LSU. Everyone fricking knows the SEC & SBC are miles apart in football. It’s like the Grand Canyon of a difference.

Yet, big bad LSU always punches down. Fans of an elite top 15 program, since Saban, spends more fricking time degrading an instate university that’s truly no threat to LSU.

It shows how petty a large swath of LSU fans are, mainly the ones from Acadiana. Which is pretty damn pathetic.

You got it backwards. LSU is and always will be the first team for everyone. Nobody is born a Cajun fan. They grow into it.

Why is this such a difficult concept for you people?

That seems like a “you’re the a-hole” type situation to me.

I’ve die hard ULL fans in my family as I have deep family roots in Acadiana. The only time they like to talk about sports with me is when LSU loses because they like to take pot shots at the “evil empire” from “refineryville.”

Yet I call them ULL and they come unglued. I don’t get it. As though I’m supposed to show respect to their university while they shite all over mine.

It’s important to note that even being self-proclaimed die hard Cajuns fans, none of them go to any of the sporting events. Ever.
