Letting Arch sit and develop didn’t help. So…

No we didn't. Jarrett Lee was a redshirt freshman, so really a sophomore; he was on the 2007 NC team. Jordan Jefferson was a true freshman that year, and I think it hurt him much worse.

In HS, he was a pro-style QB, not a dual-threat QB like so many LSU fans think. He was the #1 Pro-Style QB in Louisiana and the #11 in the country.

QBs are hard to project. They just don't face elite defenders in HS.

Not having good QB coaches has hurt him more

This. He's bad and Michigan's attempted development of him has been bad.

This. It’s almost impossible for a coach or someone to predict what will happen or won’t happen. There’s just too many variables involved, especially nowadays with money. I thought Kyle Wright and Jimmy Clausen were going to be NFL stars. Boy was I wrong

Didn't seem to bother the byu qb. He wills his team to victory now.

Saban used to preach he hated starting freshman qbs because it ruined them as they weren't ready. We saw it happen to Jarrett Lee.

But he started Jalen Hurts as a freshman and later brought in freshman Tua to win a natty.
