The NCAA's director of championships said that moving in the fence would cost a lot of money & with the attendance records, he sees no reason to spend the kind of money that would require. He was quoted in a story in the N.O. Times Picayune Wed.As previously noted here, the only possible change coming, in 2015, is a change to pro ball's baseball. Let's get the Bruin's in a regional or super regional at The Box & see how well small ball plays when they are 3-4-5 runs behind due to the HR's we hit there.

No body cares about college baseball outside a dozen schools. ESPN shows (PTI, Around the Horn, etc.) don't even cover it in the 10 second segments.

Not sure that's quite accurate. They may have had more fans in the stands, but do you really think they make more money from the few extra fans than they normally get than on commercials? Advertisers won't like this.

Game 2 of the UCLA/Mississippi St. College World Series final drew 1.3 million viewers on ESPN Tuesday night, down 37% from Arizona/South Carolina Game 2 last year (2.1M), and down 41% from South Carolina/Florida Game 2 in 2011 (2.2M). UCLA’s series-clinching win earned the smallest audience for any game of the CWS final since South Carolina/UCLA Game 1 in 2010 (1.2M). On Monday, Game 1 of the series earned 1.6 million viewers — up 7% from last year’s opener on ESPN2 (1.5M), but down 28% from 2011 (2.2M).

they better do something (balls, fence, whatever) because that was garbage.

I could barely make it through the LSU games and the rest I watched only a few minutes at a time.

When that many poor pitches can be rewarded with good outcomes, I'm out.
