They are Christians who are not sola scriptura.
Biblical literalism is akin to idol worship, only instead of worshiping a statue you're worshiping a book.

No, you're not creating a religion. You're evolving.
It says that women are to remain silent in church. If people are to take the Bible literally, rather than taking context, etc. into account, then women would, in fact, be silent in churches.
But we understand why Paul wrote what he wrote when he wrote it and thus we know why those particular words are not relevant in today's churches. The same holds true for the condemnations found in Leviticus, which is where you will find references to shellfish, clothes of mixed cloth, shaving, and homosexuality.

Focus on what Jesus said. The rest is open to interpretation.
Here is what Jesus says about homosexuality:
So being accepting of gay people and recognizing them as normal is not against Jesus' s teaching.
Even if you DO believe that simply being gay is a sin, think about what Jesus says about those who sin..and more about what those who are without sin should do...

And if you don't want to accept Pauls words then get out of Christianity altogether, because it was Paul that battled Peter for the right of gentiles to even be a part of the new kingdom. He obviously knows his stuff
