2020 doesn’t count. There’s no way to know if Saban and Alabama were the best team that year. Probably weren’t.

[quote]Of course a bama fan would say this about a former bama player. /quote]

Then you pick Robert Horry, as an example of an accomplished basketball player in the NBA.

Newsflash.... He went to Bama, too.

Exactly. Some conferences only played 5 or 6 games.

Alabama and West Monroe fans are the absolute best when it comes to making topics about them.

Interesting question - Probably not the most accomplished college WR and not the most accomplished NFL WR, but probably the most cumulatively accomplished player between both.

Desmond Howard won the Heisman, a national championship and a Super Bowl

Tim Brown won the Heisman and went to 9 pro bowls

You have guys like Randy Moss and Jerry Rice who are in the conversation.

I don't think he is the GOAT CFB WR or NFL WR, but he is a damn good WR with many years left.

I’m not. He’s from Amite, he’s a great kid, and his fiancé is a former student of mine.

There was a video Thursday of him going back to his home town of Amite probably 1.5 hours away from New Orleans. He was ordering from a local restaurant and the owner recognized him and didn’t want him to pay but Smith insisted. Just a cool video, he seems like a really nice guy

Met him during the midst of all the pandemic bullshite when I was working Togo’s at a local restaurant here in Bham. Super nice guy, very unassuming. I asked how often he gets asked about his Heisman and he just laughed. He was like man all the time! People think I’m just rolling around with it like I keep it in my car or something.
