Please tell me which point you disagree with rubble:

1. Henry is a great back with a great year , but Cmac had the better year

2. running back success is highly dependent and players around them, thus making it one of the more overrated positions
rubble, please respond

Here’s what you’re struggling to comprehend here, highly dependent doesn’t mean there aren’t outliers. You talk like a back can’t be productive with a bad supporting cast. Henry and Mccaffery would be productive anywhere.

You also vastly overrate Tannehill. The offense runs through Henry, like I told you weeks ago and like Mike Vrabel has clearly confirmed down the stretch. For gods sakes man, you said the Titans would have the same record without Derrick Henry. It’s gotten absurd the levels you’re stooping to. You can call the position as a whole overrated, but the problem is you’re trying to put every team in the same bucket. It’s just not the case. There are clearly running backs in the league that are 100% the focal point of the offense. The coaches and front office of those select teams would laugh your arse out of the building if you tried to tell them it’s an overrated position.

Henry wasn’t productive this year at all with Mariotta under center and the passing game sucking. If vrabel doesn’t make the change Henry wouldn’t have been productive on his own team this year.

I don’t think he is the type of back that can overcome a completely shite situation. To be honest, sanders is one of the only ones that ever did though to be fair

Cmac and kamara could have some success almost anywhere , but once again in fairness in comparison to Henry they use those guys differently

Wait what

QBs don't need receivers or pass blocking?. Saints fans are notorious for blaming blocking & lack of receivers for Drew Brees choking.

QBs are also dependent as well, yes. Not sure where I suggested differently

But qbs can maneuver and mask these problems easier than a running back can

Serious question, when did this board all of a sudden not unanimously agree thee RB postion is overvalued and is more about the o line?

How can you say this like it’s a fact man? You’re taking a 6 game sample and extrapolating it over an entire season, and passing off a biased hypothetical as if it’s a fact. He averaged 4.9 per carry over the course of the season last year with Mariota under center and no weapons at WR, went over 1,000 yards rushing, and scored 12 touchdowns. Much like this season, he got stronger down the stretch. Hell, he still scored 4 touchdowns in the 6 games with Mariota this year.

Because I watched the games, man?

His team couldn’t run block for shite, and because of that Henry couldn’t get anything going at all. It wasn’t his fault though. Their passing game was awful and the backup lineman they had playing were horrendous

Do you know carries per game during Marriota vs a with Tannehill?

I'd guess that after Marriotta got hurt and Tannehill got the starts that Henry started getting more Carrie's, started having more success due to him wearing teams down and thus it helped Tannehill.

Maybe if they'd have given Henry more carries with Marriotta under center both of their numbers and wins would've been better... just a thought.
