Derrick Henry is the best rb since Barry Sanders

Yep. It’s true. As much as I hate Bama, I have to say that dude is legit. Do you agree or disagree?

One of the long list of Bama players that wills their teams to win NFL games
Like Tua, the biggest winner of the QB class

I love Henry but I don't know if I would go as far to say that he's better than LT and AD.
Posted on 11/22/20 at 3:25 pm to SelaTiger
but probably adrian peterson

Lol at DH over LT or peak AP.
Hell Cook is better than DH when he’s healthy, just gets injured so regularly.

After Burrow and Herbert, Tua is definitely the next best QB in this class. He looks good so far.

There it is, the dumbest thing I’ll read all day.

Adrian Peterson is still in the league. How are people already forgetting him?

In fairness to OP, Barry is the best comparison to Henry of any other RB I can think of
Barry is far better, but their style of boom/bust is similar
Today Henry was 2 carries for 53 yards and 26 carries for 80 yards
Barry used to have somewhat similar stats when you broke them down

Also of note, Henry has zero first team all pros, and that will continue after this year
But Op is right, that is the closest to Barry’s 6x first team all pro I can think of. Can’t think of any RB with more than 0 first team all pros

I know what you’re trying to say but not even close style or body wise.
No one has a running style like Barry. Dude could run through 3 guys without any of them getting more then a finger on him. Henry is not even a shifty RB. Henry is also a huge guy while Sanders was pretty small.

True they are both boom or bust. Barry would dance behind his pitiful O-line and end up losing 5 yards and then break one for 46 yards.
To be fair to Barry, there really is no comparison. Barry could create mega runs out of nothing by breaking the ankles of every defender. Henry is a straightline runner.
For Henry if the hole isn't there he's usually just falling down for 3 yards.
But to Henry's credit, he rarely gets caught from behind on breakaways which always happened to Barry...Barry seemed to have a knack of getting tackled at the 5 yard line on 40+ breakaway runs and then since Barry wasn't a great goal line back, the Lions would bring in someone else.
Barry despite putting up monstrous rushing yard stats, killed me in fantasy one year because of this.

Their style in terms of how they get it done is different, but production of stats is similar
People who didn’t watch Barry don’t realize how many negative/ non productive runs he would have. But he seemed to have 1 50 plus yard run a game
