I was all for this chick being a kicker. When I heard about it, I thought this girl must have a cannon for a leg. But after seeing the kick and hearing she couldn’t make anything outside of 15 yds it made me realize that the whole time leading up this that they never showed ball flight in the promo videos. I was all for adding her to the team if she made them better but come on the punter could have done a million times better. It was just a huge publicity stunt or something because she did not bring any value to that team

Does Vandy not have a men's soccer team that they could have borrowed a player from?

Doubtful. SEC doesn’t do men’s soccer.

South Carolina and Kentucky play in the conference usa. I don’t think there are any other SEC teams

Women’s soccer typically balances football for Title IX.

I had no problem with it until I saw the kick and the subsequent reaction from the media. Now it’s going to get to stuffed down our throats as if she boomed a 60 yarder to give women the right to vote.

Saving his job. I too thought she must have had some past experience in HS football or had shown some promise.

That clearly wasn’t the case.

I frankly think it was out of his hands. This season is clearly lost. He’s just trying some last ditch effort to appease the AD. You can’t tell me there wasn’t someone on that team that could not kick it off more than 30 yards or not need to get goal to go to even attempt a FG. They players obviously fell in line because god forbid they say something even remotely negative and get lambasting Twitter.

I’m interested if this charade continues next week against UGA.

Didn't Vanderbilt have multiple kickers out with COVID? Essentially she was like the third string place kicker.
I don't know why everyone was expecting her to be some ace kicker. If she were, she would have started the season.

Vandy headed toward a winless season.

Got blown the frick out.

But everyone is talking about a kicker. Mason may be a genius.

She's a goalie. Doesn't even kick as often as regular players in soccer.

Doesn’t bother me in the slightest but j got a kick out of her post game comments-

“To all the women out there, never let them tell you what you can or can’t do.”

(Except when they tell you not to try and kick it off like normal)

Publicity stunt, Covid, and beating UT will save Masons job.
