Not a fanboy, was pulling for the guy and willing to give him a chance but am probably 98% in the “this is doomed” group now. NIL has changed a lot in college football but there are certain undeniable, eternal truths when it comes to running a major college football program and he’s given zero indication that he has a clue. The way that it fell apart as the season progressed … yes they had some close losses but a team that played with more discipline and had more focused leadership might have pulled a couple of those out … instead of improving is telling.
Prime demoted Lewis out of jealousy. Everyone knew who the real coach was.

I know people here hate Deadspin, but don’t dismiss or shoot the messenger, read this because it’s dead center in the bullseye about this cluster.

A race baiting journalist talking about a race baiting coach?

Race doesn't have much to do with completely sucking when you completely suck.

I generally don’t have any use for Phillips but even a stopped clock is right twice a day and I stand by my statement that he’s in the bullseye on Sanders, and has been since day 1 of this.

I agree completely. Was just making a comment about the irony of that article.

There’s so much stupidity in this thread that it’s hilarious.

Everyone shitting on Colorado and Deion. Then immediately flipping to how they may have two heisman finalists
what a ride.

CU will never support football enough to be competitive. Deion isnt going to survive as a HC in college for very long.

Nope.
Just one.
Barely.
In OT.

Is this the greatest double bump thread ever

This is my favorite

This should be mercifully over next year when the same, absurdly overhyped fail transpires.

No, it didn't.
Just going by the record, it was an improvement over last season, and very obviously not a failure.
Then you look at it more analytically. Within a TD of USC, Oregon State, and Utah. Within a field goal of Arizona. They weren't far off from 4 more wins.
This time period of recruiting and evaluating transfer players is the next crucial phase.
Average scoring margin went from -29.1 in 2022 to -6.7 in 2023.
Results don't happen immediately. It's a process. Maybe you've heard that at some point...

Also within a field goal vs. Stanford.
That one may be the worst loss of the season, giving up the big lead they had. But that's five losses within a touchdown or field goal.
