Do you think it’s not hard as fricking shite to take over a team with one winning season in 18 years who just went 1-11 and just “bam turnover the roster no big deal”
It’s much easier when you are a “celebrity”. Do we think he turned his team over like a “normal” coach would have to do by busting his arse on the recruiting trail? He used his status as a celebrity and the media pumping him up, it’s whatever use whatever advantages that you have, but it’s not as “hard” as you are making it out to be.

It’s clearly hard (no quotation marks needed) to have a winning season at Colorado. If it wasn’t it wouldn’t happen once every two decades or so

Yes. I have backed you and pirate king into such a corner y’all are saying it’s easier to be successful at Kansas than Ohio state in football

Let’s see him do it without his 4 star son and 5 star Hunter
If he continued having 9 win seasons after they left I’d say he’s a good coach. That has yet to be seen.

What does the prior season have anything to do with his first season besides sharing the school Name?
Context is everything and for some reason you seem to be really struggling w/that concept. Just looking at raw win loss record comes nowhere close to telling the whole story of his tenure at CU. If you can't already understand that he's completely turned around the perception of the school to recruits, fans, donors, and the media then I don't know how to help you. It's clear as day just watching how games in Boulder are now all sold out. It wasn't like that before he was HC. The program was completely dead in the water.

What would deions record have been at OSU the last two seasons with the OSU rosters?

Easily the same. This board also says Ryan day is an awful coach that just wins because of good players
It’s so damn easy to coach college football. Everyone is bad coaches just winning because of players

Nah National title
Buckeyes won the title with an awful head coach last year.

He has his celebrity and media hype, he’s definitely changed perception. But, is that perception reality? He brought over his son and a Heisman winning 5 star player. He no longer has those players, Colorado was 65th in recruiting in 2024 and 35th in recruiting in 2025. Do we think that he can overcome his talent disadvantage and have his team playing at a top 25 level? Will the fans still be there if he wins 5 games this season?
ETA: for context their wins line this season is set at 5.5 and money is on the under for that line

The question is is he building sustainably and is the program setup for long term success?

I believe they are FAR better off now and whoever follows him (if he's even stepping down) will have a much easier time keeps things going than what he had to work with after Karl Dorrell completely cratered the program.
Again, I don't think you really understand how dire things were in Boulder by the end of Dorrell.

What’s to stop them from going right back there? Without his celebrity and the media hype, along with Shedeur and Hunter what exactly is Colorado? What’s to stop them from going right back down to what they were?

On one hand you are saying Colorado is a death trap shite hole that will suck horrifically when Deion leaves

Also saying he hasn’t done anything hard by winning at Colorado

Sure I do. But what do those seasons have in common with his first season, besides the name?

All I’m saying is, let’s see him do it without his Heisman winner and his son. He hasn’t proven to be an elite recruiter outside of those two players (one of which is his son
