Dear Saints, please take it easy on Peyton Manning

I like watching him play, and he's got a few good years left in him.
Warner - done
Farve - probably done

hope the defense is relentless. Have to go through 3 HOF qb's.

It wouldn't make me upset if we had to play against Curtis Painter the whole game

Farve will retire sometime next week. Then in June he will get that itch to play. By the time training camp is over he will be ready to play.

You're probably right.

FWIW, Mike Florio and Colts fans are being pussies about this already:

If you actually read what Williams says, he doesn't suggest that at all. Rather, he says that an unintended consequence of applying pressure on Manning is that he may leave the game, which means that Curtis Painter is in the SB. I think that we can all agree that Painter is not as good as Manning.

I just read that whole thread, Soph.
There are some seriously ignorant people posting a whole wagon load of tripe. A few voices of reason who actually read and maybe listened to the interview. These "get" what Williams said.
Can't wait to see the Saints do well.

Meh...I'd rather play against the best of the best and not have to hear excuses.

I'd rather hold the trophy in the air and wave my dick at the people who make excuses.

I don't want to hurt Manning but I'm already sick of the Peyton/Archie thing.

a few 15 yarders and being called dirty is worth the chance of forcing painter into the game. imo
