ESPN is the MSNBC of the sport's world. If nothing was ever mentioned about T'eo's girlfriend during the game, it means that Herbie and Musstalker were told to not mention it. ESPN just sat on the story after building up Te'o all year., hoping no one ever found out.

Lost in all this is the girl who the hoaxers (Te'o) used to pose as his dead girlfriend.

Her photo was plastered on CBS, ABC, ESPN, NBC, etc. without her expressed written permission. Not only that…but her likeness was presented as that of being the likeness of a dead girl.
