come on, te'o isn't even catholic much less someone considered a 'prominent member'. i agree they've done some idiotic coverups in the past but this is notre dame not the catholic church as a whole and notre dame is simply trying to cover their own asses from the embarrassment of looking like dumbasses perpetuating (or at least not catching it early on) this hoax.
