Late to the party so im not completely up on the situation but here are my questions (siap).
1. If this girl was supposedly a stanford athlete then why didnt stanford ever come out and state that no athlete by that name attended the university?
2. If manti believed he had a real gf in palo alto then why wouldnt he have made every effort to see her when nd traveled there last yr?
3. If sweet manti really did find out about this in december and she was the love of his life then wouldnt he be irate and want to get to the bottom of this? If they talked every night then how hard is it to reverse lookup the cell number of the 'gf', find out who it belonged to, etc? w manti and notre dames connections this couldve been accomplished in a day.
4. How did so many major columnists and publications not do their due diligence and check the background of the girl? Stanford has an online directory and athletics website. Google is a useful tool. Ita about $30 to do a background check on someone online. Not hard to do.
5. Where was her funeral? Why didnt Manti attend? Did he send flowers? Where did he send them? Wouldnt a bf at least reach out to the family and offer condolences?
6. Why would NDs AD hold that mess of a press conference last night? Is he really just figuring that if manti lied to him then he can throw him under the bus at a later date? Why not get out in front of the story weeks ago?
I just see no way that Manti didnt find out about this at some point. He had to know and he used this for publicity and sympathy. Honestly that may be a better scenario than the alternative of him being a complete moron who lacks even basic common sense.

Any and every story is only going to last so long until something newer and weirder comes along (gonna be hard to beat in the weird department though).

The media was harrassing every kindergarten through 5th grade student at Sandy Hook Elementary searching for an interview, and yet nobody tried to find the family of this oustanding and inspirational girl?

Yeah you have to Skype in a long distance relationship nowadays, that alone makes Teo's story bullshite.
