Leinart wasn’t in the same stratosphere as LAwrence athletically. It makes zero sense

Cam Newton would be an exception here.

Saying Mac is the best QB in the class then comparing Lawrence to Lienhart is laughable.

Mac Jones is closer to Lienhart physical in terms of both arm strength and athleticism than Lawrence, and Mac Played with a way more talent than Lawrence last year.

Lol it’s cute you think Trevor is athletic running away from scrub arse ACC linebackers.

I mean he’s a lot more athletic than fricking Matt Leinart. Not surprised it’s difficult for you to see that though considering the rest of your take in there

JC doesn't apply.

You and I could complete a pass if the blocking was there at that level

Is he though?

Also, you’re missing the point. Call him Vince Young or Colon Kaepernick then. The point remains.

I mean, he did have a 66 yard TD run against Ohio State where he was separating from the defense, and this isn't Tressel's Ohio State team. That defense had track speed.

Have you watched both players play?

Well he’s not like them either so I’m not gonna call him that. If you don’t think he’s going to be good that’s fine but don’t make player comparisons that make zero sense

Honestly neither Wilson does either. Russell went to a program that regularly wins 9-10 games a regular season with trash at QB, running it 50-60 times a game. They won 10 games that regular season with him. He did frick all at NC State.

NC St. finished in the top 25 one year from 2003-2016, Russell Wilson's junior season when he led the conference in total offense per game.

it is just one joke after another on this board at this point.

Hell you couldn't tell the difference between the names of Warren Sharp and Warren Sapp one time.

Matt Leinhart ran a 4.9 40.
Trevor Lawrence ran it in 4.8

But yeah I’m the crazy one because you don’t get the point. He’s less accurate than Leinhart while also facing worse competition.

Having significantly more talent on your roster than 90% of your opponents has a way of making QBs look better than they are. You don’t take QBs who have been comfortable their entire college careers. They don’t know how to overcome disadvantages. They don’t know how to deal with pressure and work through difficult situations.

His college completion percentage is 2 points higher

So you’re going to eliminate QBs from any elite program for this reason? Does this seem like a good idea? Are you familiar with the term selection bias?

When

Leinhart at the Combine, Lawrence’s number is from multiple high school camps. He consistently was in the 4.75-4.85 range.

Completion percentage =\= accuracy. Abundance of screen passes, the advent of jet passes, and the emphasis on the short passing game has completely changed completion percentage numbers.

Only one QB who led a team to a DI National Championship in the last 25 years has even taken his team to the Super Bowl and that’s Cam. Only 2 others have made a Pro Bowl and one of them only did it once as an alternate.

So Lawrence probably didn’t get more athletic being in a major college weight program for 3 years, makes a lot of sense

Where is your data point showing Leinart is more accurate

So because Peyton couldn’t lead a stacked Tennessee team to a national championship he became a better pro QB? Because Brady couldn’t beat out Brian Griese to start for national champion Michigan that helped him as an NFL QB? Is this your point? Because it still doesn’t make sense

The mental gymnastics that some of you do on here to try to convince yourselves and others(mostly the former) that TLaw is gonna be a bust is sad and hilarious. Lawrence is the most pro ready prospect since Andrew Luck. And that is probably a fair comp for him. The fact you guys keep reaching for reasons means that either you don't believe your own BS or you're just ignorant. If anyone really believes that Trevor Lawrence is gonna bust you need to stop watching football and start following the WNBA b/c football is not for you.

Trevor Lawrence will not be a bust.

They were 2-2 against top 25 teams that year, finished 25th in the AP poll, and he was 5th in the conference in Passing Efficiency.
