No scandals.
Chanel Miller wrote a best selling book about the Stanford swimmer that sexually assaulted her, so you may want to edit that.
Not to mention the current soccer player suicide situation…

The man won 2 Rose Bowls. Not many coaches can say that.

In the long run he should be remembered very fondly by alumni
This. He won a few championships, won a lot of games in general, relatively speaking, and always represented the university well. No scandals, no embarrassing off the field incidents, etc.

I don’t think he’s had the desire to coach at Stanford for several years.

They win the the director's cup every year.
15 years in a row. then north Carolina won a couple. north Carolina and notre dame are now competitive at that highest level.
they now do a mens and women directors cut. the success of both sexes was the Stanford edge all those years plus of course actual excellence at the variety of sports.

I assume he'll take an admin job at Stanford.
He was already working for NFL Network on their draft team. That’ll probably turn into a full time job.

Surprised he didn't stick it out for 1 more year to go for 100 wins.

He had 3 wins each of the last two seasons. He has 96 wins. David Overrated wasn’t making 100 wins with another season.

That sounds terrible, but what does that have to do with the school? Was it a coach? Did they cover it up?

Consistent quiet winner for a number of years. Stanford seems left behind in the expansion, NIL world. Wonder where they go from here.

A potential Stanford degree will always give them an in with prospects that can get accepted there.
